UK Masters or an MBA is well recognized across the globe. Once you complete a course from UK, you can apply for Educational Credential Assessment from CES, WES, IQAS or other. These bodies will help you get an equivalence of your UK Masters in Canada. I am certain that a Masters from UK will be Masters equivalent in Canada as well.

You can log in to Job Bank Canada and stat looking for a job. Having said that, it looks glory but it isn’t that easy. You might have to be consistent, patient and determined to apply for multiple job application as this process will involve LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) after your receive a job offer letter from a Canadian Employer. The LMIA is a department in Canada who will evaluate if the skillset is required from outside Canada and that there is no required skill set within the country.

Always there is a preference given to a local Canadian Student / PR or a Citizen over an expat. Alternatively, you can look for other options like:

    • Study route: As you are already a Masters in UK, look up for a Post Graduate program of 1 / 2 years in Canada. Along with study you will get Part time Work Permit. Post completion you will get a 1/3 years of Post Study Work Permit. Make sure you take assistance of a Career counsellor or a coach to understand which program you should be enrolling for as there is a chance of rejection for a Visa as you have already completed your Masters study. To illustrate, if you have done a MBA in Marketing and you are handling a digital Marketing project, you can take up a course of Digital Marketing. Or if you have completed Masters in IT related program, and you wish to work as a manager, you can take up a course of Project Management or Business Analysis.

    • Express Entry: This is a direct PR stream though which you can enter Canada. For this process, you will need Masters equivalent qualification (which you have), IELTS 8777 ( a magical score)

    • Age less than 32 years

    • Start Up Visa Stream / Entrepreneur stream: Look for an incubator who will fund or back up your Business idea. This is the fastest process currently to enter Canada. Having said that, there is a fees involved for the Incubator.

All in all, you can find jobs in Canada after your UK studies or take an alterate route.

    Hello, my dear friend,

As per the 🇨🇦Canada Immigration rule book, YES you can definitely apply along with your spouse and your children for you Student Visa.

Having said that, while you apply for a student permit, you should think from the immigration officers perspective.

You are supposed to show proof of funds for your study permit which can be 3–4 lakhs ideally.

Along with this, you have to pay 1 year of your course fees plus GiC which makes your file strong for visa success. That said, when you show that you are married and having children, it clearly states that there are dependent on You and this this lowers your probability for visa success. Below are the reasons-

    1. Financial dependency- Your spouse and Colleen are dependent on you while you study in Canada. In Canada , while you are sitting you are earning part time ie 20 hours per week. Ideal CAD 1500–2000 per month. These funds are enough for 1 person but insufficient for a family.
    2. Access to job bank- If you apply for your spouse as a dependent, your spouse is eligible for an Open Work Permit which is a clear competition to the locals and the expats who are already in Canada looking for job.
    3. Child allowance- If your apply for your child along with you, the child will have an access to the Child allowance issued by government which ranges from CAD 6275 to CAD 7437 per year. This is a financial burden on the government and thus, is negative.
    4. Not leave Canada – If you are moving along with your family, there is clear intention of migration and thus, you have selected Student route to enter the country. This will lead to rejection under section 214, which is applicable as you will not leave Canada at the end of your studies.
    5. Ties to Home counter- Ties to your Home country is a vital aspect to be considered in immigration. You should have a strong reason to go back to your country post completion of your studies like parents, property, spouse, family, job and other. This helps you to make your file stronger.

looking at ali the above scenarios, it’s wise not to apply along with your spouse and children.
